ITINERARY
DAY 1: Darwin
Make your way down to the Darwin waterfront precinct for a 2-course dinner at Wharf One. Then take a 2.5 km self-guided walk through the Tropical Lights, featuring eight illuminated sculptures throughout Darwin CBD. Lights are activated from 07:00pm.

DAY 2: Darwin - Kakadu
Depart Darwin and travel along the Arnhem Highway, their major river systems and wetlands, into Kakadu National Park. Located 257 kilometres east of Darwin, this national park covers 20,000 square kilometres of landscape from rocky escarpment home to historic Aboriginal rock art dating back thousands of years, to floodplains abundant with wildlife. Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu. Join your local guide on a cruise of Yellow Water Billabong. Search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of birdlife for which this region is renowned. After lunch, stop at Nourlangie, where your Driver Guide will lead you on a walk to view the rock art galleries. There is the opportunity for an optional 50-minute scenic flight (own expense).

DAY 3: Kakadu - Darwin
This morning join your Driver Guide to explore a Rock Art Site, where you’ll be shown through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries, believed to be 20,000 years old. A visit to the Bowali Visitor Centre is next, then it’s off to Corroboree Park Tavern for lunch. After lunch, we make our way to Adelaide River to join the Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Cruise the river and thrill as these awesome creatures launch themselves out of the water. After the Cruise, we visit Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre for view over the Marrakai Plains and a stop at Fogg Dam Nature Reserve before your return to Darwin.

DAY 4: Free Day
Relax and enjoy a free day in Darwin
DAY 5: Darwin
Join a city sights tour for the perfect introduction to Darwin, with expert commentary by a local guide. See the lush Botanic Gardens and the Chinese Temple, which was re-built after it was demolished by Cyclone Tracy in 1974. Tour the historic sites of the city including the East Point Military Precinct. See the Stokes Hill Wharf area, the Mooring Basin and Darwin Aviation Museum. There is also time available to explore the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, whose collections encompass Aboriginal art, visual arts, and Northern Territory history and natural sciences.
